This round window at the church in the grounds of Oxborough Hall, Norfolk, England rather took my fancy so I painted it in 1995, if I remember rightly. Someone else took a fancy to it and so it now hangs on a wall in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire. The house and church belong to the National Trust. In case you have ever wondered why the windows on medieval English buildings are so small, it is because for a period windows apparently were taxed according to size. |

Picture of an old barn somewhere around the posh village of Old Brampton village, Derbyshire, England. The clock on the church tower in this village has sixty three minutes on the face. It is made of that peculiar colourful stone quarried in Derbyshire which makes it such a joy to paint. |
